October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic violence is abuse that takes place in intimate relationships.


Domestic violence crosses all barriers: economic, gender, ethnicity, age.

Domestic abuse can be physical, emotional, sexual, financial, spiritual.

Domestic abuse includes stalking behaviors.

The cycle of domestic abuse includes 3 phases: Honeymoon, Tension Building, and Explosive.
